Types of Counselling

I am trained and qualified to work in an integrative manner, this means that I can work using a structured blend of the following approaches:

Person Centred Counselling - Keeping you at the heart of the counselling, working with what you bring each week, exploring your patterns of relating to self, others and your history which all helps to form your current view and position.

Transactional Analysis - Looking at how you relate with and communicate to those around you, working with you to identify any default positions that you have become used to or reliant upon.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Perhaps the most commonly known counselling method, popular with the NHS for its measurable results, this looks at your thoughts and feelings and how they influence your behaviours.

COVID19 -               My practice is continually adapting to keep everyone safe and to minimise risk and maintain compliance. Many of my sessions are now via phone call or secure conferencing at the moment.  I also offer 'walk and talk' outdoor sessions.           Please ask about face to face sessions, this is something I now offer but will be subject to change immediately with local guidance depending on risk factors.
