Counselling can offer you a safe and confidential environment to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable for you. It gives you the opportunity to talk to someone who is trained to listen and work with you to improve things. A therapist will work in a safe, non-judgemental and accepting environment.
Counselling isn't about giving you advice or telling you what to do, and it will allow you to work at your own pace and feel supported with the decisions that you decide to make.
It can be a very personal process and will generally take a few sessions before any difference is noticed, however for some people a single session may be enough to make a difference.
