Laura Hawkins - Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist
Laura Hawkins  - Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist

About me

I have trained and qualified as an integrative therapeutic counsellor which means that I can apply elements of the main theoretical approaches to my practice.  I am able to tailor my knowledge to work with each client individually and specifically for them.

I have experience working with children, young people and adults working in a safe environment, following ethical codes of practice underpinned by my registration with the British Association for Counsellors and Phychotherapists (BACP).  I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and work under regular supervision to ensure that I work in an ethical manner.

I have experience of working within a secondary school, local childrens centres and take clients into my private practice via doctor and self referral.

I have experience in working with clients in many situations (some listed below):

  • Family and Relationship Issues
  • Self Esteem
  • Fertility / IVF
  • Miscarriage / Pregnancy loss
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Abuse
  • Work / School Related Issues
  • Stress
  • Health Concerns
  • Obsessive thoughts

COVID19 -               My practice is continually adapting to keep everyone safe and to minimise risk and maintain compliance. Many of my sessions are now via phone call or secure conferencing at the moment.  I also offer 'walk and talk' outdoor sessions.           Please ask about face to face sessions, this is something I now offer but will be subject to change immediately with local guidance depending on risk factors.
