I have worked as a counsellor since 2013; when I initially qualified. Since qualifying I have completed lots of additional training and qualifications to compliment my practice and have gained lots of experience.
I work as an integrative therapeutic counsellor which means that I can apply elements of the main theoretical approaches to my practice. I am able to tailor my knowledge to work with each client individually and specifically for them.
I have experience working with children, young people and adults working in a safe environment, following ethical codes of practice underpinned by my registration with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and work under regular supervision to ensure that I work in an ethical manner.
I work part-time in a local secondary school as a School Counsellor and have worked with local childrens centres and GP services. I have had a small private practice since qualifying in 2013; I accept clients into my private practice via self referral and doctor referral. I work with a number of Employee Assistance Programmes and insurers where I am the end counsellor/therapist. In addition, I also work for an Employee Assistance Programme as a Helpline Counsellor.
I have been approved by CPCAB to work as a Counselling Lecturer and until recently I was teaching at Bucks College Group.
This year (2025) I have started offering Reflective Practice work for local organisations, to enable them to support their staff, working with the company objectives for the session.
I have experience in working with clients in many situations (some listed below):
